Electrical Occupations
Program Description
The Electrical Occupations program provides the following training and experience. Students learn how to:
- Install, operate, maintain and repair electrically energized residential, commercial and industrial systems
- Install, operate, maintain and repair DC and AC Motors
- Install, operate, maintain and repair controls and electrical distribution panels
- Read circuit diagrams and use electrical codes
- Read blueprints, sketching and technical manuals
- Read an interpret commercial and residential construction wiring codes and specifications on installation and
maintenance of wiring

Articulation Agreements
Students who meet all the requirements of the Tech Prep Program will receive credit and admission preference into these Post Secondary Programs:
- Triangle Tech
- Penn College of Technology (an affiliate of Penn State)
Certifications
Students in the Electrical Occupations program are eligible for:
- Pennsylvania Skills Certificate
- RBT/ACERS Copper Cabling & Fiber Optics
