Carpentry


Program Description

The Carpentry program provides the following training and experience. Students learn how to:

  • Use hand and power tools safely.

  • Read blueprints and lay out and cut wood to specifications.

  • Erect, install and repair structures and fixtures using hand and power tools.

  • Identify construction materials.

  • Use common systems of framing.

  • Use finish carpentry techniques

  • Carpenters

  • Helpers - Carpenters

  • Rough Carpenters

Articulation Agreements

Students who meet all the requirements of the Tech Prep Program will receive credit and admission preference into these Post Secondary Programs:

  • Triangle Tech


Certifications

Students in the Carpentry program are eligible for:

  • Pennsylvania Skills Certificate

  • Master Shingle Applicator

  • NAHB Certification
